Meet the EMTA Theatre Academy Team

Tom is a professional actor, writer, and teacher who trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. Since then, he's built a diverse career across both stage and screen, showcasing his talent on both sides of the Atlantic. His credits include playing Young Bryan in CBS's Limitless and various other roles in theatre and film throughout the UK. As a creative, he is currently developing a World War II musical, Far From Home, set during the Blitz.

With over 10 years of experience in acting training, Tom is passionate about performing arts education and helping aspiring performers unlock their full potential. He believes that making all aspects of performing fun is key to building confidence and solid technique. By blending his unique methods with established theatre coaching practices, he aims to inspire students to find their voice and ultimately assist them in pursuing a successful career in the industry.

Jake is a professional actor, singer, and dancer with a wealth of experience in both stage and screen performances. In addition to his work on prestigious cruise ships and stages around the world, he regularly showcases his talents closer to home in various shows at Brick Lane Music Hall in the East End of London. Having received comprehensive acting training in musical theatre and acting at The Arts Educational Schools, London, as well as through the National Youth Music Theatre of Great Britain, Jake is passionate about performing arts education. He aims to inspire students to carve their own careers in the industry, develop essential skills and confidence through effective theatre coaching, and above all, enjoy themselves.

Keira graduated from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama with a BA Hons in Acting and Musical Theatre. Her theatre credits include iconic productions such as West Side Story, Grease, Sweeney Todd, and Romeo and Juliet. As a professional vocalist with the West End Gospel Choir, she has showcased her talent at high-profile events like West End Live in Trafalgar Square, collaborating with renowned artists such as Michael Bublé and even performing for HM King Charles III at Buckingham Palace in 2022. After graduation, Keira discovered her passion for teaching through performing arts education and is eager to integrate her love for acting training and theatre coaching to help students explore their voices in a safe, supportive, and enjoyable learning environment.

Emily has been dancing from a young age and attended the Sue Nieto Theatre School with the rest of our EMTA team. She later pursued her passion for performing arts education at NLPAC, where she graduated with full ISTD DDI and DDE teaching qualifications in Imperial Classical Ballet, Modern Theatre, and Tap Dance.

With several years of experience working with children in various settings, Emily has contributed to primary education, focusing particularly on SEND and SEMH. She obtained her initial child counselling qualifications with Place2Be, in addition to other relevant training courses. Emily has also enjoyed choreographing and preparing students for the Barnet Schools Dance Festival, an event she fondly remembers attending as a student herself. Her background in acting training, combined with her enthusiasm for theatre coaching, makes her an invaluable part of our team as she teaches our fabulous students!

Dominique is an accomplished performing arts professional with extensive experience both on stage and in the studio. Having undergone acting training from a young age and completing her education with a BA (Hons) Theatre Dance degree from London Studio Centre, she also holds Advanced 1 ISTD qualifications in Ballet, Tap, and Modern. Her professional career includes dancing for global artists such as Kylie Minogue, JLS, and Tinchy Stryder on shows like The X Factor. Dominique brings her high-level performance and industry discipline directly into her teaching, focusing on performing arts education. Now dedicating herself to teaching Singing, Musical Theatre, and Dance across all disciplines, she is passionate about theatre coaching and developing each student's potential, equipping them with the discipline, confidence, and artistry essential for success in the performing arts and the professional world.

Sue Nieto established two drama schools, one of which is EMTA, where she began her acting training with a musical theatre class every Wednesday. With a rich history in the stage, she has performed in numerous West End productions. Now, she runs her own production company, incorporating the talents of EMTA students in her pantomimes. Sue specializes in theatre coaching and instructs in the areas of Jazz, Tap, and Musical Theatre, providing valuable performing arts education.

Marianne brings over 25 years of experience in costume sourcing, design, and costuming for pantomime, musical theatre, and stage productions, including her work with BBC Elstree and her role as Wardrobe Mistress for Jools Holland on BBC television. She also operates her own costume hire business, Marianne's Costume Hire, where she has designed and tailor-made many costumes for EMTA. Passionate about performing arts education, Marianne relishes the opportunity to utilize her extensive expertise in acting training and theatre coaching while collaborating closely with students to create costumes that make each production truly memorable.
