Tom is a professional actor, writer, and teacher who trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. Since then, he's built a diverse career across both stage and screen, with performances on both sides of the Atlantic. His credits include playing Young Bryan in CBS's Limitless and a variety of other theatre and screen roles in the UK. As a creative, he is currently developing a World War II musical, Far From Home, set during the Blitz.
With over 10 years of experience, Tom is passionate about helping aspiring performers unlock their full potential. He believes that making all aspects of performing fun is the key to building confidence and solid technique. By combining his own unique methods with established practices, he aims to inspire students to find their voice and ultimately, help them to pursue a career in the industry.
Jake is a professional actor, singer and dancer with a wealth of experience on both stage and screen. Asides from performing onboard prestigious cruise ships and stages all over the world, he can often be seen closer to home in various shows at Brick Lane Music Hall in the East End of London. Jake trained in musical theatre and acting at The Arts Educational Schools, London, as well as the National Youth Music Theatre of Great Britain. Jake is eager to inspire students to hopefully carve their own careers in the industry, develop skills and confidence, and above all, enjoy them selves.
Keira graduated from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama with a BA Hons in Acting and Musical Theatre. Her theatre credits include West Side Story, Grease, Sweeney Todd and Romeo and Juliet. She is a professional vocalist with the West End Gospel Choir and has performed with them at high profile events like West End Live in Trafalgar Square, with popular artists such as Michael Bublé and even for HM King Charles III at Buckingham Palace in 2022. Keira discovered her love for teaching after graduating and is eager to combine her two passions to help students explore their voices in a safe, supportive and fun learning environment.
Emily has been dancing from a young age and attended the Sue Nieto Theatre School with the rest of our EMTA team. She later attended NLPAC and graduated with full ISTD DDI and DDE teaching qualifications in Imperial Classical Ballet, Modern Theatre, and Tap Dance.
Emily has several years of experience working with children in various settings. She has worked in primary education, with particular experience in SEND and SEMH. She gained her initial child counselling qualifications with Place2Be, along with other training courses. She has enjoyed choreographing and preparing school students for the Barnet Schools Dance Festival, which she attended as a student herself. Emily loves being a part of the team and teaching our fabulous students!
Sue Nieto established two drama schools, one of which is EMTA. She has a long history in the stage and has performed in numerous West End productions. She now runs her own production company, and her pantomimes feature the talents of EMTA students. Sue instructs in the areas of Jazz, Tap, and Musical Theatre.
Emily is a former Principal and Musical Theatre coach at EMTA. As an associate coach to the school, she will cover classes and will work with some students with EMTAs successful LAMDA Examination programme. Emily began performing at an early age, and later went on to train as a scholarship student at the Urdang Academy, gaining a a Level 6 Diploma in Professional Dance and Musical Theatre. She has since continued to pursue her love for performing, appearing in a variety of theatre, film and commercial credits. Emily has been a teacher at EMTA for ten years, and loves nothing more than to share her passion and enthusiasm with her students.
Katy is a cover teacher at EMTA and has been teaching Musical theatre for many years. Katy received her training at The Centre for Performing Arts College, where she also earned her DDI Modern and Tap teaching certifications. Katy graduated from The American Musical Theatre Academy with a 'Masters' degree in 2017. After graduating, Katy studied with Freckle Productions specialising in children's theatre. In recent years, Katy has explored her love of teaching even more and is now employed as a full-time Music teacher at Grimsdell Preparatory School.
