Emily is co-owner of EMTA. Emily began performing at an early age, and later went on to train as a scholarship student at the Urdang Academy, gaining a a Level 6 Diploma in Professional Dance and Musical Theatre. She has since continued to pursue her love for performing, appearing in a variety of theatre, film and commercial credits. Emily has been a teacher at EMTA for six years, and loves nothing more than to share her passion and enthusiasm with her students. As a teacher of Musical Theatre, Tap, Jazz, and LAMDA , she enjoys giving her students the opportunity to explore all that makes a "triple threat" performer.
Tom is Acting lead and co-owner of EMTA . Being a keen performer from a young age, Tom went on to train as an actor at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. Since then, he has appeared in a variety of stage and screen productions and has experienced roles on both sides of the pond. He recently completed his PGCE and has been training actors for the past five years. Tom has developed his own acting techniques and uses a variety of methods to help his students achieve their finest performances. As principal Acting Coach, Tom is aiming to teach students to become well-rounded performers and ensure that all students have the ability to progress and become industry ready.
Jake has joined the team as Associate Director, helping to run EMTA and teach. Jake is a professional actor, singer and dancer with a wealth of experience on both stage and screen. Jake trained in musical theatre and acting at The Arts Educational Schools, London, as well as the National Youth Music Theatre of Great Britain. Having spent the past few years working as a performer on ships and overseas, Jake is eager to pass on his knowledge to the younger generation to inspire them to carve their own careers in the industry, develop confidence and above all, have fun!
Sue Nieto established two drama schools, one of which is EMTA. She has a long history in the stage and has performed in numerous West End productions. She now runs her own production company, and her pantomimes feature the talents of EMTA students. Sue instructs in the areas of Jazz, Tap, and Musical Theatre. She's also in charge of EMTA'S successful LAMDA examination programme.
Keira graduated from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama with a BA Hons in Acting and Musical Theatre. Her theatre credits include West Side Story, Grease, Sweeney Todd and Romeo and Juliet. She is a professional vocalist with the West End Gospel Choir and has performed with them at high profile events like West End Live in Trafalgar Square, with popular artists such as Michael Bublé and even for HM King Charles III at Buckingham Palace in 2022. Keira discovered her love for teaching after graduating and is eager to combine her two passions to help students explore their voices in a safe, supportive and fun learning environment.
Katy has been teaching musical theatre at EMTA for four years and has been teaching for ten years. Katy received her training at The Centre for Performing Arts College, where she also earned her DDI Modern and Tap teaching certifications. Katy graduated from The American Musical Theatre Academy with a 'Masters' degree in 2017. After graduating, Katy studied with Freckle Productions specialising in children's theatre. In recent years, Katy has explored her love of teaching even more and is now employed as a full-time Music teacher at Grimsdell Preparatory School.
